How Surrey & Hampshire Psychology collects, uses, and protects your personal information
Who I am
This website is operated by Dr Georgina Evdoka-Burton, trading as Surrey & Hampshire Psychology. I am the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law.
You can contact me at: georgina@surreyandhampshirepsychology.net
What information I collect
When you use the contact form on this website, I collect:
-
Your name
-
Your email address
-
Any information you choose to include in your message
I also collect anonymised usage data automatically through Wix Analytics (see the Cookie Policy for more detail). This does not identify you personally.
Why I collect it
I use your contact details solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to arrange an initial consultation. I do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
My lawful basis for processing your personal data is legitimate interests — specifically, the legitimate interest of responding to an enquiry you have initiated.
If you are an existing or former client, I process your information under a separate clinical data policy in line with my professional obligations as an HCPC-registered psychologist.
How long I keep your data
Enquiry messages and contact details are retained for no longer than 12 months from the date of your last contact, unless a therapeutic relationship begins — in which case clinical record-keeping obligations apply.
Who I share your data with
I do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for any commercial purpose. Your data may be processed by:
-
Wix.com Ltd — the platform that hosts this website and its contact forms. Wix is GDPR-compliant and processes data in accordance with their own privacy policy.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
-
Access the personal data I hold about you
-
Request correction of inaccurate data
-
Request deletion of your data (the "right to be forgotten")
-
Object to processing of your data
-
Request restriction of processing
-
Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is the legal basis)
To exercise any of these rights, please contact me by email. I will respond within one calendar month.
Complaints
If you have concerns about how I handle your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
